The 2018 Metaphysician’s Day Planner
Delivery Turnaround: 12 days from confirmation date of your order
The first, debut Metaphysician’s Day Planner came out last year, so if you’re curious about this planner’s origins, check out what I wrote in 2017 about the product’s conception.
This year’s day planner is better. Okay, well, I think it’s better. Who knows what you think of it all. Ephemeris tables, charting sign transits for the Sacred Seven for each and every day of 2018, and also, this year’s day planner comes with a 200 page Guidebook. Yep, that’s right. The day planner has its own operation manual.
And in that operation manual you are going to find loads of folk magic, astrological data, and also all void of course moon dates for 2018 in case that’s something you look at for spell-crafting. It’s got forecasts for 2018, step by step instructions on how you can do your own forecasts for 2018 per your natal chart and solar return chart, reference tables galore, and so much more. I’m sure you’ll find something interesting in that Guidebook that you ultimately decide to integrate into your own craft.
Short Summary (aka TL;DR)
You’re getting the digital files to a day planner calendar book that’s part organizer and part grimoire. Then you can upload the day planner digital file, along with your choice of a front and back cover design (many options provided for you to choose from!), to a third party printer (I give you illustrated step-by-step instructions on how to do that), and get your day planner printed and bound. And if you lose your book midway through the year for whatever reason, you can always print out another copy for yourself, since you’ve got the digital file.
This day planner is keyed to a metaphysician with eclectic leanings, and a keen interest in both the sacred arts of the East and the mystery traditions of the West. It presumes the importance of transits astrology in your practice, and so moon phases, ephemeris tables, and key astrological events are noted.
Day Planner Size Options
You also get to choose which size day planner you want. The 2018 Metaphysician’s Day Planner comes in three size options, so take your pick and be sure to tell me explicitly in no uncertain terms which one you want:
- Standard US Letter Size, 8.5” x 11”
- European A4 Size, 8.27” x 11.69” (210 mm x 297 mm)
- Trade Paperback, 6” x 9”
If you do not specify which size you want, then you will receive the default Standard US Letter Size.
Cool Personalized Options
Your day planner also comes with the following:
- Customized with your name on the cover page
- Your birth chart
- Your 2018 solar returns chart
- Your choice of divinity pages (see next section)
If you do not specify the exact name as you want it to appear on the cover page, then the first name of the identified payer of the order will appear on the cover page. If you do not provide birth details, then your day planner will not come with the personal astrological charts.
Let’s avoid European vs. American custom confusions by writing out your date of birth as follows: January 3, 1971. If the birth detail is not written out as instructed, I will presume American custom (month/day/year) and cast the chart accordingly.
Divinity Page Selection
For the standard $25, in addition to all the other cool personalized options mentioned, you also get to choose one of the following divinity page options:
- ONE single entry from this master list of options linked here; or
- ALL of the divinity page options noted in the master list; or
- Archangels (All), which includes Archangels in Heaven, Archangel Gabriel, Archangel Michael, Archangel Raphael, and Archangel Uriel; or
- Taoist Directional Deities (All), which includes Four Directional Deities, Bei Di, Empress Mother of the West, Grand Duke of the East, and Zhurong; or
- Tripartite Taoist Goddesses, which includes Empress Mother of the West, Marici, and Lady of the Ninth Heaven; or
- Chinese Esoterica Set, which includes Om Mani Padme Hom, Seal of Lao Tzu, Vajrayogini, Health and Wellness Talisman, and Qi Energy Charging Grid.
For an additional $5 add-on, so total $30, you can totally customize the divinity pages in any way you like, choosing as many as you like, so long as it’s an odd number of entries (for pagination and formatting reasons).
The Metaphysician’s Day Planner is $25.
If you choose the customized $5 add-on so you can totally customize the divinity pages, then it’s $30.
Order instructions are provided below (scroll all the way down).
The Details: Day Planner Content
Just like last year, you’ll get a whole bunch of front and back cover designs to choose from. This year’s options will be similar to last year’s, so just check the link to the 2017 Metaphysician’s Day Planner.
The Metaphysician’s Day Planner is customized, starting with your name. There’s space on the first page for you to write in your vision statement for 2018. Then, provided that you submit your birth and personal details, your natal chart and 2018 solar returns chart are the first front pages of your day planner.
After that are the divinity page selections you chose and some spiritual planning for the year. Although using Buddhist vocabulary, the ideas are rather secular. There’s a page spread for you to contemplate the Ten Parami.
Then we get into the day planner pages. First, year-at-a-glance pages, including 2017 and 2019 for your planning purposes.
Like last year, there’s an Annual Plan or 2018 resolutions page, plus note the new entry to the right of the page below. These are screen shots, by the way, so don’t mind the squiggly lines for foreign spelling or table lines.
Then, still on annual planning, we get into the spiritual and there’s space for a twelve-month tarot or oracle card forecast for 2018.
Immediately after annual planning is quarterly planning. There are page spreads for each fiscal quarter of 2018.
Next comes the month-at-a-glance pages. This year, each month occupies two pages, or a page spread. On the left side will be the ephemeris table for that month, charting the sign changes for the Sacred Seven (sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) for each and every day of the calendar year.
On the right, you have a normal calendar, and then below, along the left column are key astrological dates per the Western zodiac and to the right are key astrological dates per the Chinese zodiac, or the lunar calendar. Specifically, I list out all the auspicious dates each month for love, business, ritual and prayer, and travel. How awesome is that!
Admittedly, if you’re not that into astrology, these ephemeris table pages are a bit useless. For any practitioner of craft, though, I have to think these pages are going to be right up your alley. Major astrological forecasts are also provided in these month-at-a-glance pages.
The bulk of the pages for the day planner will be the week-at-a-glance page spreads that help you log your everyday life. Holidays and astrological events are keyed to North America, so please keep that in mind. You’ll find loads of holidays from all over the world. There are the pagan holidays based on the Wheel of the Year, of course (North America). All the federal recognized holidays in the United States are on there. I’m including all the major Christian and Catholic holidays, Jewish holidays, Muslim holidays, Buddhist holidays, Chinese holidays, Hindu holidays, Baha’i, and more. Why? Mainly because I’m interested. I like how in a given week, when I note a particular holiday from a tradition I’m not familiar with, I’ll take the time to look it up, get my read on, and do some learning. It’s amazing and fun. And I hope having all of these holidays listed in your day planner will inspire you to do the same.
After the week-at-a-glance pages (which is most of the book), there is a page spread to log books you read in 2018 and places you visited. This page spread was also in last year’s 2017 debut version. I love this mainly because I read and travel quite a bit and this is a great way to memorialize those experiences.
Then we’ve got planning pages for the years to come. There’s a page spread for your 3-year-plan, your 5-year-plan, and a page for what I refer to as your vision board. You’re going to be creating a collage, or a vision board, inside your day planner for manifestation purposes and to regularly inspire you.
I listened to what the 2017 day planner users critiqued about their books. The recipe pages have been omitted from the 2018 day planner since many of you noted that you didn’t really use those pages. I reduced the number of contacts pages, but kept the note-taking pages and sketch pages as-is. For screen shots of what those pages look like, check the 2017 day planner.
Then we get to the grimoire pages. A lot remained the same, a lot of the pages have been edited and tweaked, and there are new page additions as well.
Just like last year, your order comes with a file folder of different front and back cover options to choose from. Also, please feel absolutely free to custom-design your own. (Just make sure when you design the cover images, they are “to spec,” and follow the formatting, trim, bleed margin, and resolution guidelines set by the printer.)
The Astrological Stuff
If you’re bent on learning Western astrology, then this day planner is perfect for you. What better way to master astrology than to integrate it into your everyday life? Do note that your charts will be cast under the traditional Whole Signs system, though it is still a Tropical (as opposed to Sidereal) zodiac. Decan rulers are also provided.
Assuming you provide me with your birth details, your birth chart and 2018 solar returns chart are part of the day planner. (I am not going to be able to read this info off your mind, so if you don’t give it to me in your e-mail, then you’re not going to get the birth chart or 2018 solar returns chart and it’s still $25. Doh.) So throughout the year, you can check out your own birth chart, work on trying to read it, and work on transits astrology by reading the birth chart in comparison with the 2018 solar returns chart.
A note about the solar return calculation. Your chart will only be your month and day of birth updated to 2018, with location changed to your location of residence in 2018. It’s not the exact return of the sun to its natal degree. And if you’re like huh to the what, don’t worry about it. Basically, there are a couple of different ways to cast a solar return chart and my way is a bit different from the majority approach where you observe exact return to natal sun degree.
By the way, if it matters to you, I perform a shielding and cloaking recitation over each and every single birth chart in the books before they are delivered to you. If that doesn’t matter to you, well I still do it. It’s my sense of professional responsibility as a metaphysical practitioner.
This next part is an astrologer-metaphysician’s wet dream come true: In the month-at-a-glance page spreads, you’ll get an ephemeris chart for each month, with the zodiac sign info for each of the Sacred Seven planets for each and every day of 2018. And guess what: I’m also including the ephemeris reference charts in a separate PDF document that comes with your order. That way you can print those charts out separately and include them elsewhere in your practice.
The month-at-a-glance page spreads also include Chinese astrology, where I use the lunar calendar, 10 heavenly stems, 12 earthly branches, and the Chinese almanac to note auspicious and inauspicious dates each month for romance, business, rituals, and prayers.
Divinity Page Selection (Customized)
First, check out this master list of all options:
DIVINITY PAGE SELECTIONS
For the standard $25, in addition to all the other cool personalized options mentioned, you also get to choose one of the following divinity page options:
Single Entry Option
Any *ONE* of the divinity page options provided in the linked PDF.
All Divinity Page Options
Everything. *ALL* of what you see listed in that PDF (31 pages total). Warning: This is going to turn your day planner into something massive. I don’t personally recommend this option if you plan on traveling with your day planner from home to office everyday, but last year, several of you asked for this, so I’m making the option available for those who go this route.
Archangels (All)
The “Archangels in Heaven” image, then Gabriel, Uriel, Michael, and Raphael
Taoist Directional Deities (All)
The “Four Directional Deities” page, then Bei Di, Grand Duke of the East, Empress Mother of the West, and Zhurong
Tripartite Taoist Goddesses
Empress Mother, Marici, and Lady of the Ninth Heaven, the trinity of “dark” goddesses (misnomer: they’re not dark; just using it for convenience of reference here, cf. Kuan Yin) that practitioners of Taoist magic often work with
Chinese Esoteric Set
The Taoist Fu sigils all in one set: all four Elementals; Four Directional Deities page; Fu talisman for business and financial gains; Glory and Greatness talisman; Health and Wellness talisman; Qi energy crystal charging grid; Roster of Chinese Fu sigils; and Seal of Lao Tzu
Choose any of those options and the divinity page customization is inclusive in the $25.
However, if you want more than ONE, but not ALL and not any of the offered sets, then for the fully customized selection of an odd number divinity pages, there is an additional $5 add-on fee, for a total of $30.
[It needs to be an odd number for pagination and formatting reasons.]
So, if you choose any 3 selections, any 5 selections, any 7, any 9, 11, 13, 15, … 21, or even 23, selections, it’s $30 total. Why? Labor reasons. It can kind of be a manual pain on our end to format it when it’s that customized. But we’re happy to do it for $5.
Printing & Binding Your Day Planner
Once you’ve got the PDF file for this, you can take it to a local print shop and get it printed out and bound. I’d use a sturdy stock for the front and back covers, something glossy even. Then the printed calendar pages can be regular paper. You should be able to get this done for under $10. For instance, it’s $9.72 to get it print and coil-bound at Lulu.com.
At Lulu.com, select the US Letter size at 8.5 x 11 inch. For binding, you’d select “coil bound paperback” and for interior print, “black and white on white.” Printing the 192-page day planner through Lulu will cost you under $10 and that plus $25 for my proprietary files puts you at $35 only, which is still a ton cheaper than so many other Body, Mind, Spirit day planners on the market right now! I’ve been seeing them roll out for eight to hundred dollars!
The Guidebook
The free complimentary PDF Guidebook you get with your 2018 Metaphysician’s Day Planner order is chock full of goodies and forecasts. I think you’re going to like it. It’s got a “metaphysician’s 2018 almanac” vibe to it, or at least that’s what I was going for.
You get the PDF e-book, but the e-book comes formatted and ready for printing as a standard trade paperback book, along with instructions on how to order a paperback version if you desire. The total cost of the book to print and ship was under $10 USD for me, using a third party print on demand publisher.
This guidebook has all the astrological forecasts for 2018 that would have been too bulky to put in the day planner but is important info for the metaphysician to have in planning your 2018.
I spent a night cycling through the astrological chart for every single day of 2018’s calendar year and that’s how I came up with all of this info for you. Then, for some of the conclusions I drew, I did historical research and supply you with that info as well.
There’s both Western and Eastern astrology in here. I also include the astrological charts for every eclipse in 2018, loads of eclipse info, and how to read your own chart for key 2018 transits. I also teach you how to use the ephemeris tables in the day planner and work with those tables alongside your natal chart.
I try to cover some info for those who are going to be going through a Jupiter Return in 2018, or those going through a Saturn Return, Saturn Opposition, or Saturn Square. What’s all that mean? Info in your Guidebook and even how to determine whether it’s your Saturn Opposition year.
Last year in 2017’s day planner, I had recipe sections in the back of the book, which I’ve omitted from 2018’s day planner. Apparently, I’m the only one who uses those pages. However, in lieu of a recipe section in the day planner, I’ve included some of my personal, proprietary recipes combining folk medicine (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and folk magic.
The appendices have info you may want to personally write in to your day planner, but weren’t included in the day planner since not everyone follows such info. For instance, Appendix C lists out all void of course moon dates for 2018.
Every day planner order comes with the Guidebook. No extra costs for it.
Size Options
Last year for 2017, you could only choose between the US Letter size or A4 European standard. This year, you can also opt for a smaller version, the 6″ x 9″ Trade Paperback.
I’ve used the US Letter size for all of 2017 with no problem. But I also carry a briefcase for work and have to carry a bunch of US Letter size folders and files anyway. (Actually, it’s Legal size, but too much detail.) So it was nothing for me to lug the US Letter size version of a day planner with me wherever I went.
However, for 2018, I’m offering the Trade Paperback and for myself, I’ll be using the 6″ x 9″ Trade Paperback version next year.
So, to review, here are your size options:
- US Letter (8.5″ x 11″)
- A4 European (210 x 297 mm, or as we Americans like to say, 8.27″ x 11.69″)
- Trade Paperback (6″ x 9″)
I know in my product descriptions the Trade Paperback small version comes with a warning that the font size goes down to font size 8, and it’s true, but I’ve actually found the size to be just fine. However, if you have sight concerns with reading tiny font, then the Trade Paperback size isn’t going to be for you. The US Letter or A4 are going to be your better options.
Can’t Decide Which? Get Two!
If you place an order, we’ll do 2 different size options for you for $35. Then you can send to the printers two different size options for your day planner, produce two or multiple copies of the planner, and use them in different ways throughout 2018.
Delivery Date
As soon as you’ve sent me your e-mail (to abelldelivers@gmail.com), I’ll send you a confirmation and link access to download the Guidebook within 48 hours of your e-mail.
(Which means if you don’t get a confirmation e-mail from me within 48 hours of your order, something went wrong. Please try e-mailing me with a follow-up inquiry.)
Then your order will be fulfilled within 5 (five) business days of the confirmation email date.
Non-North American Purchasers:
Please be advised that all holidays and astrological events in the calendar are based from North America. Thus, depending on where you live, the event dates for astrology and astronomy could be up to one day off.
Can Non-North Americans still work with this day planner? Our customers are from all over the world. We’ve connected with folks from every continent through this day planner! However, just know that all dates and times noted in the day planner are keyed to North American Pacific coast time. If you can do the conversions for yourself, then all should be okay.
Default Settings:
If no day planner size is specified, then you will automatically get the US Letter standard size, at 8.5″ x 11″. If that is not what you want, then please specify planner size.
If no divinity page selections are specified, then you will automatically get the Koi Fish (non-denominational; secular). If a number of selections other than 1 or 3 is given, I will choose for you, either 1 or 3 and any excess selections will not be included. If that is not what you want, then please make sure to follow instructions precisely.
If no specific name for the cover page is specified, then I will go with the first name of the payer for the day planner. If that is not what you want, then please make sure to follow instructions precisely.
If no birth details are provided, then no birth chart will be included. If no time of birth is provided, then a sun chart set to 12:00 pm will be cast for you. If no location of birth is provided, then the default setting of London, England will be used. If no 2018 location details are provided, then the default setting for the 2018 solar return chart will be the location of birth. If that is not what you want, then please make sure to follow instructions precisely.
Deliverables:
For $25, you’re getting:
- JPG file of your natal chart
- JPG file of your 2018 solar return chart
- 208-page (minimum; will be more depending on how many divinity entries you select) PDF file of the 2018 Metaphysician’s Day Planner customized with your birth chart, natal chart, and other preferences as noted (digital file only)
- A file folder of front and back cover design options for your day planner that you can choose from, JPG files
- 200-page PDF Guidebook to the 2018 Metaphysician’s Day Planner
For $30, it’s all of the above, except you get to customize and choose what you want for the “divinity page.” [See #7 in the Order Form.]

For everybody’s sake, please refrain from being too creative with your order form. When people get creative, that’s when trouble comes and I get your birth time wrong, or you don’t get all the divinity page selections you wanted, or you get the wrong book size because you wrote me a thesis about the woes of globalization instead of just checking the applicable box. Please help me out by just answering the questions in as conforming a response as possible. The more you conform, the more likely I am to get your order correct. Pingback: The Hit List - Hardly home - The Tarot Lady
I just received the final and ready to print PDF file for the Guidebook to the 2018 Metaphysician’s Day Planner in my inbox and it’s rocking my world!!!
Working with the 2017 Metaphysicians’s Day Planner throughout this past year has not only improved my mundane life by helping me become better at goal setting and planning my financial, professional, and personal life, it has also inspired me to keep a more detailed record of my spiritual practice, thus, maximizing my results. No other planner has kept my interest beyond the first few months of owning it, except this one. In my opinion, the best out there, hands down!
I’m super excited about the 2018 version and in fact, I ordered the two size bundle. I will use the smaller, 6 x 9 trade paperback size as my magical and mundane “everything and everywhere” planner and the full size US letter as a “by my bedside” spiritual journal. A place to record my divinations, study observations, dreams, woo experiences, and all craft work and results in detail.
Thank you, Benebell, for such a well thought out day planner like no other.

This looks SO useful and cool! Seems like a perfect way to learn a little more about the metaphysical each month without feeling overwhelmed by trying to absorb it all at once – I love that the planner incorporates the spiritual into everyday life. I SO want to print this up put it in a disc bound notebook. Also I love the blend of Eastern and Western in your work – so resonates with how I grew up.
