Clairvoyant Reading Cards by Belinda Grace, illustrated by Elaine Marson

This is a 36-card oracle deck that came out back in 2015, and at this point, the production value shows its age, with images that are a smidge blurry, but I wanted to do a quick post so you can have a look-see of the cards.

This is not a deck review. It’s a walk-through where you can click on any of the photos and zoom in for a close-up viewing of the deck.

I’m currently in the process of packing away decks I never use and relocating them to storage. As I logged this deck into inventory, I thought, although I never use it, there’s something about it I really like, and so maybe you will, too. Hence, the quick pause before packing it away to take a few pics and memorialize them in my Deck Reviews archive.

The artwork appears to be analog, hand-drawn, long before the days of AI, and there’s something quite charming to its simplicity. There’s a storybook feel to the coloring and this particular set of keywords ends up being quite versatile for a, well, a clairvoyant reading deck. You get cards like Psychic Conversation, Automatic Writing, and Meeting Angels.

I also love the occasional inclusion of spirit guides, like Kuthumi, considered an ascended master, and Kwan Yin, the bodhisattva of mercy and compassion. They’re interspersed with universal concepts, like Passion, Choice, Self-Acceptance, Heart-Mind Balance, and Asking for Help.

My reason for uploading this quick walk-through is to share an example of an oracle deck that works. I’m not able to adequately articulate why this set of keywords as an oracle deck works, it just does.

While it gives the initial impression of being overly simplistic, there’s something to it, like the Psychic Tarot of the Heart, which interestingly came out in the same year as this deck, that evokes emotional depth and actionable guidance. The illustrations are visually clear and accessible. The deck is direct, it reads crystal clearly, and there’s something to how it’s been put together that makes it highly effective as a psychic training tool.

And here’s a snapshot of the guidebook pages, though I have not read through the text itself. I find that the deck works pretty well straight out of the box. It’s intuitive, and so even if you aren’t per se following the deck creator’s intentions, the deck lives up to the deck creator’s intentions perfectly, because it’s fantastic for clairvoyant readings.

By the way, it looks like Belinda Grace later teamed up with a different illustrator, Tarn Ellis, to create the Clairvoyant Oracle, which includes a lot of the same cards (or same concept) as these Clairvoyant Reading Cards (such as Kwan Yin, Meditation, Wisdom, Heart Mind Balance, Openness, Emotional Release, etc.). Clairvoyant Oracle came out in 2023 with fresh illustrations and a layout design that’s more contemporary, so if you’re vibing with the Clairvoyant Reading Cards but don’t want to pay out-of-print prices for a 36-card deck, then check out the newer Clairvoyant Oracle by the same creator.
